Dell is a leading producer of personal computers, a laptop top ‘of the seller, with their line of Inspiron and XPS systems. On the technical specs’ side, the XPS M2010 gaming laptop can be equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo processors ranging from the T5600 model to the T7600, with a staggering 4 GB of DDR2 memory large enough to run any multimedia applications on the demanding Window Vista operating system. For graphics, Dell settled with the RADEON x1800 graphic card from ATI, which can deliver 256MB of memory. Storage is far from an issue with the M2010, as it can deliver a total of 500 GB of space on two hard drives that can allow RAID 0 and RAID 1.
Thanks to ATI’s top-of-the line Mobility Radeon X1800 graphics, complete with 256MB of video memory, the XPS M2010 notched a very good but not quite stellar 3DMark03 score of 11,719, along with an unexceptional F.E.A.R. frame rate score of 28 fps at a 1024 x 768-pixel resolution on its autodetect setting. Gameplay looked just fine at this level, but keep in mind that the “cheaper” $4,215 configuration of the XPS M1710 turned in much higher 3DMark03 (18,319) and F.E.A.R. (104 fps) scores.

The 1680 x 1050-pixel TrueLife glossy WSXGA+ display is quite crisp and perfect for DVDs or games. The speakers also handled the tasks of movies and music admirably, and we like that the system comes with Windows XP Media Center Edition. While the webcam’s picture quality was decent, it’s far from the best we’ve seen.
Music, movies, games - hear every detail with incredible clarity thanks to eight built-in speakers, a subwoofer and integrated 7.1 audio-out ports. The XPS M2010 has on-board sound that’s on par with premium home systems, letting you enjoy entertainment the way it was intended.
Built-in features like the 1.3 mega-pixel video camera and array microphone let you enjoy larger-than-life video chat/conferencing. And, by adding an optional external USB TV tuner, you can turn your XPS M2010 gaming laptop into a television and digital recorder in one watch, pause and record live TV.
The keyboard is full-sized, with all the amenities, including a numeric keypad and dedicated media keys. The keys have a nice tactile response, leaning more towards a desktop than a notebook. The trackpad is a bit small for a notebook of this size, stuck in-between the keyboard and number pad, almost like an afterthought. The real benefit of the keyboard, however, is its Bluetooth wireless connectivity. The keyboard secures into the base via six pins, which also serve to recharge the battery. The system also comes with a full-sized Bluetooth optical mouse, compensating for the awkwardly-positioned trackpad.

Another news from Asus. Today this company unveils the new F6V Series laptop, featuring a nice infused scent which comes in two different flavor: musky black and morning dew. Available in two colors (white and black), this 13.3-inch notebook sports an ATI Radeon HD4570 graphics engine for convenient gaming capability, a 1280 x 800 display resolution, built-in stereo speakers with SRS Premium Sound engine, and an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam module. No words on pricing unfortunately.

MSI announced their gaming laptop, the GX403 featuring a ‘turbo button,’ which juices up your CPU to the most gaming power possible, based on Intel’s Centrino 2 processor technology and NVIDIA GeForce graphics.

MSI GX403 14.1-inch Gaming Laptop: has come with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, the Geforce GT 130M 256MB dedicated video card,  up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 500GB of hard drive space, and a DVD burner or a Blu-ray optical drive.

The gaming laptop weighs around 4.8 with a 6-cell battery and has the Color Film Print finish “giving it more texture and brightness”. MSI GX403 has included its exclusive Turbo Drive Engine technology for notebook overclocking in AC power mode, as well as ECO Engine for better energy efficiency. The GX403 runs Windows Vista Home Premium OS. No info on pricing and availability.
